Paul Geddes, one of the inaugural members and resident DJs of the San Francisco based music collective DISTRIKT is making his PEX debut this summer.   Paul has been a musician in one form or another since he was a toddler when he first picked up instruments lying around his house in Pittsburgh.  Realizing an innate love of performing, Paul attended the School of Music of the University of Michigan as a trombonist.  Since graduation, he has performed as a trombonist in classical, jazz, salsa and funk bands,  played tuba in an oom-pa band, sung with an a cappella octet, and played bass guitar in a couple of garage bands, to name but a few.    But now with his focus on his long love of electronic music, Paul's brings his eclectic musical lineage to the DJ booth.  And while his style generally tends to fall somewhere on the house / tech house / techno continuum, his well honed musicianship, combined with his appreciation for cross genre styles, make him happy playing anywhere people want to dance or frolic.  Paul loves to play in any environment whether it be poolside at 2pm, in a dark and pulsing subterranean after hours club, or his favorite, atop an art car in deep playa.

Paul lives in Washington DC, but frequently travels across the country or the ocean for fun or to spin, most recently in San Francisco, LA, Las Vegas, Burning Man, Playa de Carmen and others.  And he's thrilled to be a part of the PEX family so close to home.
