Living in Philadelphia USA, Sean Thomas has been working and involved with underground dance culture since 1995. First, as a DJ/Promoter for Philly’s influential Circle Crew who’s massive IT events and weekly YOMAN parties were integral in exposing countless young minds to proper music, sound and vibe throughout the East Coast. Second, as a DJ/Producer with considerable skill and ability, earning him the reputation as one of Philadelphia’s most stalwart and exceptional selectors. Through his dedication, Sean consistently achieves new levels of enthusiasm and love for well made House and Techno that must be experienced through his DJ performances to fully grasp. Compelled to explore the deep end of sound and form new sonic pathways, Sean’s distinct style of fearless, innovative mixing and refined selection keeps the dance floor engaged and awaiting his next maneuver. A gifted programmer with an expansive knowledge of music and culture, his capacity to connect with crowds and create magic in any setting is highly developed.
As Head of Sound Between Movement, an independent record label and music aesthetic he started in 2000, Sean began producing and releasing records, establishing his identity throughout the global dance community. With numerous digital and vinyl releases, remixes and licensing on respected labels like Get Physical Music, Philly’s Worship, Illusion, Nordic Trax, in addition to Sound Between Movement, Sean’s thoughtful brand of dance composition has infiltrated discerning heads around the World for many years. Defined by the locution “no malarkey,” Drumsong has a close-knit Family of supporters and has rooted itself as an institution for House and Techno enthusiasts seeking a straight-ahead approach and music-first mentality. With a focus on exposing new artists and sounds to the cultivated crowd, Drumsong has served as a gateway for many artists’ Philadelphia debut.
