This piece borrows its theme from the monumental architecture of ancient civilizations. It will radically alter the landscape which it inhabits and create spaces for people to congregate. The Great Sphynxter represents a powerful and wise figure, larger than life, whose purpose and intention are shrouded in mystery. My Great Sphynxter legend involves the quest for answers and the discovery of questions... “for it was there that I discovered him,...wandering lost and alone in the desert, far from the lights of the party, confused, naked, bewildered....I leaned my ear to the mouth of the Great Sphynxter and heard him muttering ancient wisdom.”
