I taught this workshop in Thailand this winter and had pro-hoopers learning new things, and very beginners branching out from the basics. This class is truly for everyone.

Conceptual Dynamics! Open Level Hoop Workshop:

This workshop will include targeting axial rotations on and off the body, integrating concepts for being more dynamic in your hooping, tips and tricks for cleaning up transfers as well as chest rolls/back rolls, and some other fun moves. There will also be a short sequence at the end to help encode the lessons of the course!

Biography

Ali Luminescent, an international performance artist and teacher, can not only be found gracing the stage, the screen, and the pages magazines, but also right here at PEX Summer Festival!

Indulging in hoops, fire, stilts, and aerial, sometimes all at once, Ali Luminescent weaves an intricate dance of joy and delight.

She found the hoop in 2006 and has been growing her movement repertoire exponentially since. Her background as a speech-language pathologist gives her insight as a teacher for finding new ways of breaking moves down into manageable steps- catering to her students and the different ways in which each one learns.
